Systems Engineer (Security)

Job description / Role

Requirement to keep abreast of technological development and the exchange information with consultants, suppliers and specialists.

Providing secure operation and professional support services, and work methods based on ITIL and ISO principles and best security practices by regularly reviewing and optimizing current committed security and support strategies.

On the occurrence of any critical operation security incidents, the jobholder may be required to work out of hours.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years experience in supporting security measures of systems & network services for protecting confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and information systems.

Knowledge of Security best practices for supported platforms, including system hardening, monitoring, hardware/host firewall configuration, systems information & even management, end-point security, problem management and root cause analysis, including troubleshooting.

Proficient in the analytical comparison of IT Security products & solutions against specified criteria to determine the best solution to the business need.

Must possess the ability to coordinate and handle multiple support tasks simultaneously.

Good understanding of methods and techniques for risk management, business impact analysis, countermeasures and contingency arrangements relating to the serous disruption of information system services.

Proficient in written and spoken English.

Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate to several levels.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or similar.

Technical certifications in managing & operating information systems or equivalent industry qualifications, such as Microsoft Systems and Cisco Technologies.

Technical certifications in Systems & Network Security, and industrial security solutions and tools.

Kindly note that this role is based on shift phase (4 days Morning shift, 4 days Off and 4 days Evening shift) in which you will get paid shift allowance as per QG policy. Please confirm whether you are happy based on the above shift pattern.
