Transport System Manager - Qatar

Linum Consult’s client is major consultancy operating in the Middle East. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking a Transport System Manager to join their team in Qatar.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensuring integration across all modes of rail-bound transport, in terms of transport systems, transport planning, and operations planning
• Undertaking required studies related to integration across various railway systems and transport modes
• Providing strategic advice regarding strategic planning and performance of rail operations
• Leading the process from Transportation Planning to Operations Concepts to Systems Requirements to Performance Criteria
• Ensuring the transport systems capacities meet the demand requirements
• Supervising and managing the performance of the team

Requirements

• Master’s degree qualification in Transportation Engineering or Planning
• At least 12 years’ experience within the railway industry working for large consultancies or end clients
• Strong technical knowledge of railway engineering (i.e. alignment, track work, rail systems, rolling stock, depots, etc.)
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, with working knowledge of RailSys or other simulation models for rail-bound transport strongly preferred
