Tunnel Commissioning Manager (6 Month Contract) - Qatar

Linum Consult’s client is currently seeking an immediately available Tunnel Commissioning Manager with experience of ITS and MEP installations. You will join them on a significant infrastructure and civil engineering construction project in Qatar on a 6-month contract, with a possible extension to 10-months.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitoring and ensuring compliance with the development and implementation of the contractor’s QA/QC and HSE documentation
• Taking an active role to ensure that the MEP and ITS works are installed to the required standards and that non-compliant works are identified, recorded and rectified
• Ensuring detailed knowledge of the status of the MEP and ITS installations and providing an early warning mechanism as issues develop
• Working autonomously and conducting regular inspections of the works
• Attending site meetings with Supervision Consultants and Contractors

Requirements

CLIENT STIPULATED REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Electrical and/or Control Systems Engineering from a reputable university
• At least 10 years of site-based experience in overseeing MEP, ITS and SCADA installations within a large infrastructure environment
• Excellent technical understanding of MEP systems for tunnels
• Previous experience of implementing contractor’s QA/QC, HSE, and Testing & Commissioning documentation for MEP and ITS works
• Good knowledge of compliance with international design codes and standards
• Excellent communication skills in written and verbal English
• Immediate availability – keen to work on a 6-month contract
