Rixos Qetaifan Island North

Opening mid-2022, Rixos Doha Qetaifan will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Slated to make its debut right before the World Cup, Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country's biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North's waterpark attraction. The Icon Tower, the world's highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres in height.

Waiter/Waitress

This position is responsible for delivering a friendly, fast, accurate, and efficient food & beverage service to our guests, ensuring exceptional service standards are maintained according to our guest's expectations.

To ensure a smooth and efficient operation in the Food & Beverage department in relation to the company core process: thus, directly impacting the delivery of the experience.

What you will be doing:

- To welcome, smile, and greet our guests before they greet you.
- Suggest and professionally upsell food & beverage products.
- To serve all our guests & colleagues fast, efficient, accurate service.
- Attend and accommodate guests' reasonable request and ensure all queries are responded to promptly and on time.
- To be knowledgeable about the menu and information about the food and beverage offering available to answer guest' questions.
- Take food and beverage orders and ensure that orders are communicated to the kitchen and bar promptly and accurately.
- Ensure efficient and safe delivery of all food and beverage orders in line with guest expectations ensuring an exceptional level of service is maintained.
- Set up, clear, and promptly service tables after use to ensure that all guests can be seated promptly.
- Ensure the area restaurant areas are clean and well presented at all times and assist with cleaning and housekeeping duties as required.
- Deal with guest complaints in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction and ensuring that any guest complaints and comments are reported to management.
- Ensure all cash, charge, float, and till procedures are carried out according to agreed procedures.
- Prepare all back-of-house service points concerning expected numbers for breakfast, lunch, or dinner requirements as necessary.
- Assist in the set up and preparation, and provide service duties for functions as required
- Ensure all front-of-house and guest areas are well maintained at all times.
- To assist with exclusive use events when needed and assist in the preparations of facilities for functions, themed evenings, etc., to contribute to the success of the company.
- Adhere to all emergency procedures, ensuring guest safety and participating in an evacuation if necessary.
- To display a friendly, helpful, cheerful attitude while communicating effectively with our guests and fellow colleagues to support Rixos Qetaifan Island North Strategy and Values.
- To always represent and promote Rixos Qetaifan Island North in a positive manner to maintain a professional brand image for all concerned stakeholders.
- To help achieve department and company adjective action plans, and key performance indicators.
- To enforce and adhere to all Qatar Laws, Health, Safety & environmental policies, industry and company rules, and regulations, reporting and safety concerns or incidents to management to minimize risk and maintain a clean safe, and hygienic environment for all guests and colleagues.
- To attend briefing, training, and development programs to promote personal and career growth.
- To deliver job-specific training and competency testing to colleagues or nominate them for training to equip them with the necessary skills, knowledge, and attitude to perform their job effectively.
- Always maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.

Requirements

Your experience and skills include:

- High School Diploma
- Previous service experience is an asset
- Knowledge about the Point-of-Sale System is an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Basic Food Safety Certificate
- Arabic Speaking is an advantage
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remain calm and courteous
