Work Package Manager - Cybersecurity

We have been present in Qatar for over 35 years and with over 200 employees to date and we are growing rapidly. Thales in Qatar is part of our Middle East business that has 1,800 people across Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, KSA, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar and UAE. Our people are working on two major urban rail projects; the Doha Metro and Lusail Tramway and providing security and communications systems for Hamad International Airport and Doha Port as well as delivering world-class In-Flight entertainment and Connectivity systems.

We are currently looking for a Work Package Manager- Cybersecurity to join the Thales team in Qatar.

Role & Responsibilities:

Work with Thales clients to address Cybersecurity strategy and challenges. Develop technical solutions while working with the broader team to develop high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

- Develop and review technical architectures and conduct systems and network security strategic planning.
- Cybersecurity components and technologies installation and configuration (Firewalls, IDS, Access Control, Endpoint Protection, etc.).
- Perform technical risk assessment, communicate findings to different stakeholders.
- Devise, present and implement risk treatment options.
- Evaluate compliance with applicable regulations, standards and policies.
- Develop BCP/DRA plans and procedures.
- Develop and conduct technical assessment such as threat assessment, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing.
- Ensure cybersecurity awareness is formally promoted and effective

Requirements

Desired Experience & Skills:

- 5 years' experience in designing, installing and configuring IT and cybersecurity architectures (firewalls, IDS, Wireless Security, Endpoint Protection, SIEM, VPN, PKI, IAM, etc.).
- Previous experience in cybersecurity technical evaluation (vulnerability assessment and remediation, penetration testing, etc.).
- Strong knowledge in Cybersecurity Vendors and their Portfolio (Fortinet, Palo Alto, HP, IBM, etc.).
- Strong scripting skills.
- Previous experience in international and/or regional standards and frameworks (e.g. ISO27, NIST, ADSIC, NESA, Dubai ISR).
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to synthesize and analyze multiple views and data sets.
- Experience in Consulting/Professional services, Critical infrastructure, SCADA, and security environments.
- Experience in GCC and knowledge of Arabic language will be an added advantage.

Education Qualification:

- Post Graduate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering / Mathematics / Cybersecurity / Data Science
- Relevant Accreditations such as CISSP, Security+, SANS, or other internationally recognized certifications.
