AVP - Aircraft Maintenance Operations

Based Saudi Arabia

Due to continued growth within the Aviation sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia we are recruiting for an Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Maintenance Operations who will be responsible for strategizing, directing, coordinating, and overseeing operational activities within the organization to ensure efficient development and implementation aligning with present and future organizational needs.

Responsibilities include:

* Formulating and executing strategies for efficient aircraft operations.
* Providing leadership and direction to operational teams.
* Establishing and refining organizational structures.
* Managing budgeting and financial performance.
* Developing and implementing policies, systems, processes, and procedures.

Key Accountabilities:

* Collaborating closely with Tech's Planning to integrate planning capabilities into operations, leading the development of tactical operational plans, and monitoring performance against set objectives.
* Supervising maintenance activities to ensure adherence to policies and processes, with a focus on effective staff rostering for productivity.
* Ensuring compliance with maintenance execution plans, recording work orders accurately, and generating comprehensive reports.
* Aligning maintenance activities with established plans and ensuring proper reporting of defects and faults.
* Managing resources for timely resolution of Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations and Deferred Defects.
* Monitoring safety, security, and regulatory compliance.
* Implementing and adhering to best planning models and philosophies.
* Collaborating with the Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) during line maintenance activities.
* Monitoring the performance of external line maintenance service providers and initiating improvements.
* Overseeing tooling and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) distribution for efficient management.
* Coordinating with Procurement and Logistics to ensure availability of necessary tools and equipment.
* Leading pre-shift coordination meetings and managing Minimum Equipment List (MEL) clearance and delay reduction efforts.
* Supervising communication systems used for aircraft operations and maintenance.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management or related field; advanced degree preferred.
* 8+ years in aviation maintenance, with 3+ years in leadership.
* Strong regulatory knowledge and strategic planning skills.
* Proven leadership inspiring teams toward goals.
* Analytical, detail-oriented, and adept at problem-solving.
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
* Budgeting and resource management experience.
* Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
* Proficiency in maintenance management systems.
* Flexible and adaptable in dynamic environments.
* Strong interpersonal skills and inclusive leadership approach.
