Purpose

You will be responsible for the success (on-time, on budget, with Quality and to get customer expectations) of one and several internal or external projects/deployments.

This is a core role in the organization with responsibility for leading the vast majority of SITA deployment/projects/program workstreams, so you will have developed/demonstrated ability in a number of competencies as well as technical skills.

Financial responsibility at this level is below $1m, direct revenue generation below $2m and you can be a unique contributor or coordinate a small project team.

Key Responsibilities
• Responsible to support project managers in their input to sales and bid/commercial teams during the pre-contract phase to ensure that the projects are realistic and achievable in delivery in terms of scope, budget, quality, feasibility and time.
• Input to the planning process and draft the project/resource plans, budget and risk register as per the SITA Methodology and interlock with product/partners/resource pool owners.
• Support line management on the delivery implications/requirements of the project with a special focus on the risks and mitigations. - If responsible for a deployment activity act as the delivery process subject matter expert for the specific service/application.
• Once approved, support the handover from the bid team and be responsible to manage the delivery of projects as per defined SITA project management methodology to deliver the agreed scope right first time.
• Manage the contract during delivery including risks and issues and support line management with escalations whilst monitoring that customers fulfill their obligations and recover costs in case of lapses.
• Drive the project team and monitor performance of 3rd party suppliers (internal/external), in order to secure the delivery targets.
• Support successful and complete handover to operations in the transition phase with the transition team and project closure once the project is delivered including lessons learned and financial closure.

Working with the Customer
• Support the project governance internally/externally to ensure stakeholders are aligned on project status, issues, risks and that accountability is assigned to manage these whilst effectively managing change.
• Strive to ensure customer value is generated throughout the project and support Management in ensuring SITA meets its commercial objectives for the project and develops its relationship with the customer.
• Demonstrate commercial focus by identifying opportunities for "upsell" on the project directly or with the customer more generally and progressing these with the appropriate governance.
• If responsible for a deployment activity, accountable for problem analysis and resolution, including managing escalations and creating/managing action plans.

Budgeting & Reporting
• Assist with project budget including Profit & Loss and cash and submit monthly Project Financial forecasts during the full life cycle so that profit margins are maintained or increased.
• Manage resources in collaboration with resource pool managers to ensure maximum utilization and appropriate prioritization. Represent the project externally and internally by communicating and reporting on project status to the customer and internally to senior stakeholders via the established governance and internal processes (Project Reviews/BOT).

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree or technical equivalent, Master's degree preferred
• Formal project management training and certification
• PMP/PRINCE certification preferred

EXPERIENCE
• Project Management experience with full budget responsibility in a commercial environment
• Experience in an IT solutions provider environment with knowledge of SITA-like products and underlying technologies an advantage.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
• Strong knowledge and understanding of IT and specifically the ATI industry and economic.
• Strong project financial management experience including budgeting, estimating and reporting.
• Advanced user of MS Office applications, and collaboration tools (sharepoint).
• Very competent in MS Project and/or other project management tools
