NEOM Project Summary: Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company will provide executive project management consultancy services (including technical, commercial, and construction management) for the development of certain defined aspects of the NEOM Infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

NEOM is a planned cross-border city in the Tabuk Province of northwestern Saudi Arabia. The site is near the Red Sea and the borders of Egypt, Israel, and Jordan. It will cover a total area of 26,500 km2 (10,200 sq. mi) and will extend 460 km along the coast of the Red Sea.”

Position Summary:
The BIM Manager will lead BIM execution and work closely with project Digital Delivery Manager and reports to the Engineering Managers. BIM Manager responsibilities include:
• Monitoring and maintaining project-level CDE and associated workflow (i.e., model coordination, collaboration, model federation, model health, LOD compliance, and clash management) in alignment with project scope and EIR, including routine CDE validation checks for compliance to BEP and project standards
• Assessing BIM capacity & capability of the supply chain during tender & bidding,
• Drive standardization of CAD/BIM processes and tools within the delivery teams and supply chain
• Reviewing lead appointed parties’ BIM Execution Plans,
• Verifying that contractor’s BIM processes, data quality, and completeness tools have been put in place,
• Ensuring CDE workflows with respect to design management, construction management, and change control have been institutionalized at the project level to support the BIM identified use-case
• Lead and conduct Model review and Clash management sessions with the AEC supply chain,
• Conducting project-specific required training and talent upskilling per identified needs.

Major Responsibilities:
• Understand and implement solutions in support of the project BIM strategy, Exchange requirements, Asset Information Requirements and BIM Execution Plans (BEPs)
• Develop and review CAD and 3D Revit and C3D model templates for standardizing the deliverables.
• Ensuring coordination of BIM activities (i.e., coordinate systems, standard templates, clash management, design review, etc) and resources are shared and complied with among the design consultants and contractors.
• Manage the hand-off of milestone models and templates to consultants and contractors per the project design and contracting work packaging strategy.
• Support training of all stakeholders of the BIM360 Docs and associated workflows to support the delivery of the project key processes.
• Supports the regular assessments of the consultants and contractors to review the implementation of their respective BIM & GIS Execution.
• Plans (BGEP) and their compliance with the project execution strategy, and to seek opportunities for improvement.
• Serves as a liaison between design subcontractors, construction, SMEs and IT for resolution of BIM related issues and answer TQs.
• Supports estimating and construction in developing standard processes for the reporting of design quantity take-offs, enables construction quantity reporting processes and forecasting by the EPM.
• Supports the development of progress, quality and other reports and dashboards for project management from BIM 360.
• Facilitate design and construction reviews and coordination and manages issue/action logs.
• Communicate with design consultants and contractors and contribute to BIM meetings and discussions.
• Liaise with off-project functional BIM team for training and development, knowledge sharing, management and lessons learned.
• Participate in the quality reviews of deliverables (3D/2D), model coordination meetings and related meetings

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management with 15+ years of experience in Road, Water and Special Projects Design & Construction with minimum 10 years’ experience as a BIM/CAD Specialist.
• Proficiency in BIM360 and setting up workflows and reporting.
• Proficiency with NavisWorks and interference management.
• Proficiency in Civil3D together with AutoCAD, Revit.
• Industry BIM Certification (preferred)
• Must have working knowledge of Autodesk and Bentley 3D/BIM authoring Platforms including features, functions, and limitations.
• Working knowledge and proficiency in Collaboration and data management solutions, BIM 360 Suite, Navisworks, 3D/BIM-enabled quantity takeoff and BIM-enabled estimating tools (Assemble, CostX, etc)
• Understanding of project work processes from design, estimation, construction administration and coordination.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills (oral and written).
• Proactive, supportive, inquisitive, challenging and result driven.

• Ability to manage multiple assignments, changing priorities and work with ambiguity.
