Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose

The Category Manager is responsible to deliver profitable growth across the designated categories by providing Sales support, conducting supplier negotiations, monitor the supply and demand planning and advise internal and external stakeholders on the respective categories.

Key Accountabilities

Manage the Category: Expertise and Strategies

• Obtain the needed knowledge related to the category and its key business drivers
• Develop the annual plan for the designated categories
• Be the Category Expert and provide the Sales team with specific product knowledge

Planning Accuracy

• Analyse and monitor the demand planning of the category to ensure optimum inventory levels
• Work closely with the supply and demand planning team to manage ETA's and lead times of orders and shipments
• Control expiration of the designated categories

Analysis & Reporting

• Provide reports related to Sales, Profitability and Inventory of the respective category
• Conduct in-depth analysis of category/brand performance by channel and spot key opportunities and risks.

Management of Suppliers

• Be the counterpart for the Suppliers' Commercial teams
• Negotiate terms and conditions of supplier contracts and brand support
• Be Transmed SPOC for Suppliers on selling price of new launches or price change of existing products
• Develop a collaborative and long term oriented partnership with suppliers to maximize their support and sustain the business relationship

Requirements

Job Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related field
• 2 – 4 years relevant work experience
• Good negotiation skills
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Good relationship building skills
• Strong team worker
• Result oriented
