Overview

We are seeking a Completion Engineering Specialist to join the JRAK Engineering and SGNA Engineering divisions of Well Completion Operation & Production Engineering Department. The JRAK and SGNA Engineering Production Engineering divisions are responsible for maximizing the efficiency and output of Saudi Aramco unconventional assets by employing cutting-edge techniques and technologies to optimize production processes, enhance reservoir performance, and reduce operational cost.

Duties & Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

Lead production optimization solutions for existing producing wells and future development areas.

Responsible for routine well surveillance, problem well diagnostics and proficient in downhole remediation practices and prepare field operational procedures.

Work with drilling team on completion proposal, installation, snubbing unit operation, tubing installation and retrieval.

Trial test new advanced well completion technologies and provide technical support to designing advanced well completions.

Daily operation monitoring and support well surveillance.

Lead group of engineers in specific tasks and studies such as a new field development, a new technology trial test and participate in the company engineering standard review and the development of young professionals.

Work with drilling department and frac service provider on wellhead transition, barrier requirements and design fit for purpose solutions.

Plan and program field/wells opportunities, surveillance plan a providing support to business plan.

Responsible for well and field completion performance and integrity modeling using softwares such as WellCat.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor's degree in petroleum or mechanical engineering from a recognized and approved program.

You will have at least Fifteen years of experience in production engineering and production optimization, including at least ten years in unconventional production engineering and optimization.

You will also have;

Strong expertise in unconventional behaviors, well performance analysis and fluid dynamics.

Experience in unconventional resources or HPHT/tight gas & oil well with a good understanding of hydraulic fracturing, and its impact on flowback/production practices.

Proven record of successful wellhead and downhole completion design, optimization, and troubleshooting.

Strong expertise in material, metallurgical selection, failure analysis and inspection.

Ability to assist in the development and implementation of the flow assurance techniques, programs and operational procedures.

Knowledge of industry regulations, safety practices and standards.
