Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Execute the compliance monitoring program and monitor the trading activities of the firm and its employees to ensure adherence to the internal and external rules and regulations.
• Review KYC/AML documents for new clients and make sure that their documentation is complete and up to date.
• Liaise with the account officer and legal department in finalizing client agreements if amendments to the Account Opening Form (AOF) are requested by the client.
• Monitor all trading orders to ensure that they are taken according to the market rules and review errors and breaches.
• Assist senior management in identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and in developing and implementing corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues.
• Liaise with the local regulator and handle requests.
• Conduct AML checks and monitor clients’ transactional behaviour for early detection of any suspicious or unusual activity.
• Maintain licenses granted by the regulator.
• Handle employee registration with the CMA.
• Monitor and approve the staff trading orders to ensure they are compliant with the market’s rules.
• Coordinate the development of the system with other departments i.e. front desk, Ops, IT.
• Provide reports to the relevant parties on a regular basis.
• Ensure that the compliance manual updated.
• Act as a central reference point with the firm to facilitate reporting to the FIU.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
• 0 - 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• CME 1 and CME 2 registration.
• Knowledge of the local trading regulations.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and Power point).
• Good command of Arabic and English.
• Good communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
• Able to build partnerships and work well in teams.
• Can identify problems and refer/escalate complex issues to a higher level.
• Detail oriented; ensure deliverables are always of a high quality.
• Flexible in handling new tasks.
