Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Contract Administrator with Bachelor degree in either Architectural, Civil, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent related discipline
• With a minimum of 15 years of construction experience, must have worked as a Contract Administrator and handled prestigious / best quality and complex building (residential / commercial) projects worth more than U.S. $200M each;
• Must have Middle East experience.

Responsibilities:

• Administers all contracts and subcontracts;
• Maintain a continual review of progress and provides management with information regarding projected financial or technical difficulties or potential change orders or claims;
• Coordinates with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations; contracts changes;
• Contracts performance;
• Contracts administration;
• Contracts delays;
• Contracts back charges and claims;
• And other major contractual matters;
• Administers complex contract changes by negotiating with project personnel and obtaining settlement;
• Undertakes contractual discussions to ensure mutual understanding of contract terms and conditions;
• Prepares periodic status reports for management; administers correspondence and minutes of meetings for contracts

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of procurement regulations, policies and practices;
• Solid knowledge of contracts administration and formulation regulations, policies and practices;
• As well as a solid understanding of FIDIC form of contract;
• Specialized courses or experience in pricing, contract law, negotiations and accounting;
• Solid knowledge of engineering / construction industry contracting practices, as well as general industry policies, procedures and work practices;
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills in Arabic and English;
• Demonstrated letters and minutes of meeting writing skills; solid experience in developing contract types, fee arrangements and contract terms;
• Solid experience in developing and recommending potential solutions to contractual problems to management.
