Corrosion Engineer (Saudi National)

Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for producing the agreed Corrosion and Materials Selection deliverables as per project requirement and schedule for different stages of project.
- Participating in internal/client meetings, moreover, traveling to client offices/ sites when required.
- Preparing need lists for the data and information required for Materials selection, such as existing Corrosion Control Documents and Historical Corrosion Rate data.
- Raising inquiries to client/ proponent for fluid compositions.
- Performing Corrosion Rate calculations as per data available from process engineer, using ECE 5.7 software.
- Preparing corrosion risk assessment and material selection reports for process and utility piping and equipment for onshore facilities.
- Initiating the single discipline and interdisciplinary checks/ review of Corrosion and Material selection deliverables.
- Producing Material Selection Diagrams, Corrosion Loop Diagrams and Performing Corrosion Risk Assessments.
- Identifying and recommending needs for Direct and Indirect corrosion monitoring for facilities and pipelines.
- Recommending Protective coatings both Internal and External, generating coating and painting specification documents.
- Reviewing vendor documents if/ when required as per the assigned mandate.
- Ensuring quality of Corrosion and Materials deliverables as per client design specification and technical requirements.
- Liaising with the project teams for activities related to corrosion management for both green and brownfield assignments.
- Liaising with global offices and vendors for the Corrosion and Material critical items.
- Going through Project Scope Documents, Identifying and raising clarifications on Corrosion and Materials Selection Items.
- Working closely with project controls and delivery team to set and achieve project milestones.
- Liaise with the global offices for support where needed but expected convergence with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
- Sites Visits outside offices as & when required.

Requirements

Skills/Qualification
- Engineering degree from a recognized university or college (Materials / Metallurgy / Chemical / Mechanical) (Essential)- GPA ¾ or 4/5
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a role which has had a primary technical function of providing design engineering services in the oil and gas, petrochemical industries.
- Good soft skills; primarily presentation skills, communication, and collaboration with the global offices.
- Familiar with the use of Saudi Aramco and Industrial standards such as API 510, 570, 571, 580, 581 and 653.

Preference
- Carries working experience of both corrosion engineering/material selection and asset integrity assessment
- Experienced with Saudi Arabian & Middle Eastern clients
- NACE certification
- API-580 (RBI Certification)
