Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Effectively communicate with Manufacturing Managers regarding contracts, change orders and other contract modifications, and any additional support related to manufacturing billing and/or cost tracking.
- Prepare invoices for all costs, including all applicable backup documentation in accordance with standard procedures.
- Assist in performing month end close, including account analysis, reconciliations and monthly revenue recognition for manufacturing.
- Monitor and report the financial progress of manufacturing projects.
- Cash flow forecasting in line with project schedules.
- Compile information for internal and external auditors, as required.
- Prepare special manufacturing project analysis for management, including variance analysis and reporting of project KPIs.
- Assist with tendering on new contracts and projects.
- Assist in preparation of budgets.
- Preparation of pricing reviews and margin analysis of customer contracts.
- Support the Finance team with special projects and other functions as required.
- Follow and improve area processes.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

- B Bus or B Com degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 4 years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Detailed knowledge of manufacturing contracts, change order documents and standard contract terms
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion
- Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Background check results satisfactory to SEL
- Negative drug test result(s)

Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA/CA registration
