Our client is a leading providers of supply chain solutions is seeking to recruit for the position of Country Head to be based in Saudi Arabia.

The Country Head of Logistics is responsible for the execution and profitable delivery of the Road & Rail and Warehousing & Distribution products within the Country in alignment with corporate strategy and goals / objectives.

He/She will work closely with Regional Logistics Network Warehouse Management teams, and with Regional Logistics Standards & Governance (Road & Rail and Warehousing & Distribution respectively).

The primary purposes of this role are:
- To design, develop and grow the Logistics product in a profitable and sustainable manner in the Country, in accordance with instructions from Regional Logistics. Takes the responsibility for P&L within the respective country.
- To execute the global product and network / warehouse management and procurement strategy (Road & Rail and Warehousing & Distribution respectively) at Country level.
- To implement, execute, and ensure compliance to the global Logistics standards & guidelines at Country level.
- Building logistics capabilities in the Country. Support M&A, and bring in the right quality of resources into the business to support growth and product demand.

Requirements

* Minimum 10 years of experience in logistics
* Minimum 5 years of experience in people management and leadership, including recruitment, training & development, coaching, conflict and performance management
* Graduate degree (bachelor level)
* Sound knowledge of the logistics industry
* Trends and opportunities
* Markets (customers, competitors, suppliers, market rates, and overall environment)
* Procurement and capacity management for air freight, including service contracts
* Business administration
* Supplier management
* The area concerned, including knowledge of local suppliers
* Local laws and regulations
* Financial reporting
* Operational and people management
* Process engineering and improvement methodologies

Good ability to
* Plan strategically and translate strategy into operational roadmaps, deploying resources efficiently while pushing for results
* Lead people, including hiring and retaining talent, directing reports, defining KPI's and monitoring performance
* Work in teams
* Organize, including prioritizing, planning, assigning and controlling objectives
* Influence and negotiate
* Communicate and network using advanced inter-personal skills
* Analyze and conceptualize
* Is result oriented and places great emphasis on customer focus
* Is authentic, positive, honest and open

Language skills
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Main local language
