Deputy Preservation Engineer

Job description / Role

Location: Jazan, Saudi Arabia
Rotation: 10 weeks on / 2 weeks off

Our client is a leading EPC organisation that has been awarded a large Oil & Gas project on the new Jazan Industrial City project in Saudi Arabia. Our client is seeking an experienced Deputy Preservation Engineer to work site based on a 10 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a 1-year contract on a multi-$Bn prestigious project within a leading organisation, and earn a tax free salary.

Reporting directly to the Lead Preservation Engineer, the role of the Deputy Preservation Engineer will be to support the execution of the site construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases of the project.

General responsibilities will include:
* Supporting and promoting the implementation of the Project Safety, Security and Quality plans.
* Aid the Lead Preservation Engineer in the introduction of preservation procedures/tools to the site team and the GC's.
* Supporting the successful execution of the construction phase of the project in accordance with the project schedule, cost and other KPIs.
* Supporting and promoting the implementation of the Project Execution Plan.
* Attending regular onsite meetings as required by the Site Construction Manager and/or Construction Engineers.
* Supporting the administration of regular progress reports as required by the Site Construction Management team.
* Supporting other key disciplines as and when requested by the Site Construction Manager.
* Ensure that the requirements for preservation are undertaken on a disciplined basis by both client and contractors by ensuring that such activities become engrained within the regular activities of the site.
* Liaise with the site QA/QC team to support audits of the preservation activities/records.
* Ensure compliance of systems under the preservation scope (compressors, blowers, etc.) are maintained at all times.
* Ensure that preservation records are managed and maintained for the life of the project.

Salary & Package:
* 10/2 rotation, single status
* 60 hours per week working
* Site / camp based position
* All accommodation, food, laundry provided at site
* Transportation provided by the company

Requirements

* Degree qualified in a Construction related discipline.
* Appropriate experience in at least one specific Construction Engineering discipline with an appreciation and some experience of other disciplines.
* Industrial project experience - Oil & Gas, Industrial Gases, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical
* Middle East experience with EPC contractor
* KSA project experience working for PMC or EPC/Client
* SABIC or Aramco experience highly desirable
* Experience of large construction sites
* Strong communicator written and oral
* Organized, disciplined, able to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities and parallel tasks
* Strong Microsoft software skills, particularly Excel
* Suitable report writing skills
* Experience of working in multicultural project teams
