Deputy Project Director - Marine

My client is a leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultants with offices throughout the middle east region and an excellent reputation in the market place. They have recently been awarded a large marine contract in Ras Al Khair for a prestigious client and are looking to recruit an experienced and highly skilled deputy project director. The role will be to Plan, coordinate and direct the engineering, design, procurement and construction work whilst whilst ensuring the efficiency, quality and performance of the construction work to meet project objectives. The role will also include responsibility for obtaining the necessary project resources to plan and execute the work and coordinating with other functional managers to ensure correct implementation of the project specifications and standards.

Requirements

Candidates must have an engineering or construction degree and should be able to demonstrate over 20 years experience of working on, managing and delivering large construction projects for engineering consultant organizations. Candidates must have thorough knowledge of engineering and construction practices and economic principles; calculation methods; design details; international codes, standards, procedures and specifications. Candidates must have experience of large marine projects such as quay walls, dredging and reclamation, port construction.
