Design Director

Job description / Role

CLIENT

Linum Consult’s client is an international design, engineering and management company. They are currently seeking a Design Director from a civil engineering or architecture background to interface with their clients and review design submissions on multiple infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Frequently interacting with clients, understanding their requirements, and coordinating with subcontractor design teams to implement the clients’ vision
• Reviewing project development plans, ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, and standards. Making sure applications for permits are adequate and comply with approved plans
• Developing guidelines to make sure that all design decisions minimise cost and time overruns, whilst still delivering high quality projects
• Developing strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders. Influencing design decisions at the highest level

Salary:
SAR 60,000 to 65,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

PROFILE

• Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or Architecture
• 20 years’ experience in design management on infrastructure projects
• Very strong client liaison skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
• A persuasive individual, with the ability to influence clients
• Highly organised and able to review designs for multiple projects at once
• Fluency in English is essential, along with excellent communication and presentation skills
