Digital Transformation Manager

Brief Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible in leading the Information Management (IM) and IT functions across the KBR-AMCDE organisation and all projects under execution. The role supports the business in driving technology transformation whilst delivering value in planning and delivering operational IM and IT services. The candidate will bring a combination of subject matter expertise and leadership skills to develop and manage a strong service delivery team whilst being assigned to one or more projects. Commercial acumen in understanding contractual requirements and implementing cost effective solutions to fulfil such requirements and ongoing support is a must. Information Management function within KBR focuses on 5 key areas, namely, Document Management, Data Management, Collaboration Management, Engineering Systems/3D Model Management and management of project specific IT requirements. The candidate will be recognised by his/her peers as having outstanding technical skills in some or all of the above key areas and is often sought out by others, both within and outside the organisation, for technical advice and consultation. The IT function is managed corporately across KBR globally; however, the candidate is expected to lead a small team of desktop support personnel locally as well as maintaining a network of technical contacts across KBR to maximize effectiveness of IT service delivery within KBR-AMCDE. The candidate will also be responsible for the successful implementation of corporate IT projects within KBR-AMCDE where necessary whilst delivering value to the business. Satisfactory delivery of client IT services within budget is a key focus area within this role.

Requirements

Skills, Experience and Qualifications :

Essential:
- Candidate would typically have over 15 years of experience working within the process industry of which at least 5 ye s arwould be in a leadership role within Information Management (IM) and/or IT function.
- Experienced in organization digital transformation and implementation of digital twin solutions.
- AVEVA suite.
- Degree qualified, preferably in an engineering or IT discipline.
- Have sound knowledge of design engineering work processes gained within the EPC industry.
- Have good understanding of IT systems including general technical knowledge of engineering systems, content management/EDMS systems, networking/server technologies, portal technologies, database concepts etc.
- Must be able to prioritise own work effectively and be able to direct activities of others. Experience of managing and motivating a diverse team and developing performance of the individuals, with particular focus on localisation of key roles within the team.
- Be capable of strategic planning and executing IM and IT related transformation projects.
- Have excellent communications skills and be able to present complex technical matters effectively to internal as well as external stakeholders.
- Be capable of carrying out proposals and contracts appraisals and develop competitive IM and IT estimates as well as proposal write-ups.
- Ability to develop plans and procedures in alignment with client as well as KBR requirements.
- Be capable of building and maintaining strategic relationships with clients and suppliers alike.
- Experience of setting and managing budgets/business plans and working knowledge of financial processes.
- Problem solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands as well as strategic thinking to anticipate and resolve problems before they arise.
- Ability to identify areas for improvement within business processes and implement automation solutions to improve productivity and/or quality.
- Ability to analyse, interpret and present data to highlight issues, risks and support decision making and where necessary, develop robust business cases to seek funding from the board.

Desirable:
- Previous experience working with Middle East based national oil companies and familiarity with their standards/requirements.
- Knowledge of SmartPlant® and/or Bentley® suite of engineering tools/systems.
- Previous experience of design office facilities planning projects with respect to IT infrastructure.
- Understanding of ITIL service management principles.
- Previous experience managing internal and external audits for compliance with Quality Management System and cybersecurity requirements.
- Knowledge of tag and data management principles and standards within the process plant industry.
- Knowledge of SharePoint or similar environment and related web content management, workflows etc.
