EHS Coordinator

Job description / Role

• Responsibility for the safety of work of his subordinates and the used equipment and tools
• Follows the applicable safety rules, regulations and procedures
• Identifying EHS related rules and regulations applicable to the project
• Establishing and communicating EHS targets and determining related KPIs for the project
• Defining and issuing project specific directives in collaboration with the PM to the project team to ensure compliance with applicable EHS-related rules and regulations and customer requirements
• Conducting plant safety walkdowns; monitoring elimination of deficiencies
• Reporting EHS status, EHS incidents and root cause analysis to PM; reporting safety statistics, escalating deficiencies or non-conformances to PM and - if necessary - to functional reporting line
• Determination of the environmental, health and safety related requirements from the customer contract and other requirements
• Establishment of the Environmental and Health &Safety plan including the communication with the customer
• Preparation of environmental, health and safety procedures and reports

Requirements

• Has a bachelor’s degree in a technical field or business administration and recognized qualification on similar projects with a minimum of six years of relevant experience in the designated professions, with preferable three or more years of relevant experience in the transport industry.
• Has experience in working with a multi-national company
• Has two years of experience of working with projects
• Has experience in safety management
• Has a good command of both the spoken and written English language
• Has good computer skills
