EHS Manager

Job description / Role

• Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
• Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
• Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
• Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
• Monitors compliance with safety procedures.
• Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
• Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
• Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
• Ensure that HSE Standards and Management System are implemented at site level.
• Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly safety statistics.
• Audit and inspect project sites against company HSE requirements.
• Investigate Safety Observation, near misses & accidents reported from sites.
• Participate in carrying out projects risk and impact assessments.
• Review progress towards compliance with company and client requirements on a monthly basis and provide a status report to executive management
• Ensure remedial action is taken to eliminate or reduce any significant risk identified risk / impact assessments and review them on a regular basis.
• Issue safety guidelines to staff and contractors as necessary.
• Conduct HSE awareness sessions on site level.
• Promote a positive Health and Safety attitude amongst projects’ staff.

Requirements

• Bachelors’ degree in business administration or relevant field
• 5+ years of Proven experience as a quality assurance manager or relevant role
• Certified as a Safety Practitioner from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development KSA is highly preferable.
• Experience in the Telecommunications industry is preferred
