Employment: Full Time

A leading Electromechanical EPC Company in KSA is looking for a strategic and experienced ESTIMATION/BID MANAGER to lead the team in Riyadh, KSA. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing estimating and bidding operations and activities to ensure high quality bids are submitted to clients with competent prices based on client requirements and specifications and in line with company estimating and bidding policies and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures the development of strategic goals, business plans, budgets and resources for the Estimating & Bidding function in accordance with company overall strategy and direction.
• Provides direction for the development of adequate policies and processes for the Estimating & Bidding function to maintain efficient operational excellence in order to achieve company overall strategic goals.
• Promotes accountable environment with clear and defined employees’ responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities.
• Aligns and updates the Estimating & Bidding function’s strategic goals with company’s overall strategic goals and ensures mechanism of achieving these goals.
• Assists company President/BOD in carrying out bid decisions and final bidding price.
• Recommends and provides strategic and tactical technical and financial advice to the opportunity leaders and estimating & bidding teams.
• Manage the estimating of cost and bidding price for components of opportunity (materials, labors and equipment) based on RFP documents and provide the guidelines.
• Oversees activities undertaken in coordination with the relevant departments (i.e. Procurement, Design & Engineering)
• Ensures bid clarification and queries from clients and consultants are addressed.
• Ensures the development and update of estimating & bidding checklist based on international and local standards, and previous lessons learned covering all the estimating & bidding aspects (i.e. Design & Engineering, Procurement, Cost, Pricing etc.)
• Ensures all comments and recommendations of respective departments are reviewed and considered, as applicable.
• Analyzes unsuccessful bids to identify corrective measures to improve the overall bidding process.
• Oversees employees’ performance evaluation processes, carries out disciplinary meetings, and recommends salary adjustments, rewards and promotions based on performance appraisals.
• Provides guidance and leadership to the employees of the Estimating & Bidding function to ensure effective and efficient flow of work and ensures that all employees recognize their fundamental role in the department.

Requirements

• University Degree and/or Master’s Degree in a relevant field Engineering is required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the field of Estimating and Bid Management.
• Must have exposure in EPC environment within KSA
• Strong personality and leadership skills.
• Fluent communication skills in English and Arabic
