In this role, you will be a key member of the Finance team, providing support on large engagements across the public and private sector and serve as a focal point for financial management control.

You are responsible for providing financial management control across individual projects and client accounts throughout the project lifecycle, providing valuable insight to your project leads; demonstrating a strong understanding and expertise in the Firm's Finance systems and standardized processes and tools; proactively managing and reporting on project financials and risks on engagements.

Your specialist skills will focus on account and engagement economics, providing forward looking advisory analysis on financial risk mitigation as well as ensuring financial and operational compliance.

During your tenure as a Project Controller, you will demonstrate and develop your capabilities in the following areas:

Financial Control: Manage the end-to-end financial management procedures relating to all aspects of the project lifecycle

- Working with multiple engagement management teams to develop their project budgets and maintaining and updating the forecast on a monthly basis
- Monitoring actual time and expense reporting against the project budget
- Bill & Debtor Management: Generating client invoices for project-related fees and expenses. Tracking and managing accounts receivables, ensuring timely collections
- Managing revenues for internationally participating Deloitte member firms and tracking of contractual commitments; accurate recording and tracking of payments
- Owning engagement trackers and acting as the primary point of contact for finance-related engagement queries
- Performing financial analysis and preparing financial management reports including forecasts to complete, variance analysis etc.
- Providing project financial status report to engagement partner and director on a monthly basis
- Monitor budgets and forecasts or estimate to complete to project and track financial metrics such as revenue, gross margins, etc.Execute account financial processes to ensure the quality and integrity of engagement financial records
- Interact with senior level leadership to present financial analysis and discuss recommendations

Project Management Support:

- Develop strong client relationship within Finance and Procurement to support Statement of work (SoW) execution through various approval processes as well as ensuring timely collections for our invoices
- Understand and utilize standard processes for project management, quality management, and risk management
- Provide financial control inputs as required including project issues and risks log, change request tracker, deliverables / milestone tracking etc.
- Act as a source of contact for the project teams with regards to Deloitte time and expenses policies
- Ensure that the QRM policies are adhered to including but not limited to Client Engagements, Subcontractors and Document Management

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Degree or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Management, qualification in an accountancy qualification preferred but not essential (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- 2-4 years' experience in professional services or large organization within a Finance capacity
- Excellent capability using the entire Microsoft Office Suite, including proficient Excel skill - having Macro skills will be preferred
- Power BI experience is preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken with a preference for Arabic speaking
- Able to work effectively with stakeholders in a matrix and multi-cultural organization
- Experience in summarizing results and producing management reports
- High ability to build strong relationships that inspire openness and trust; to collaborate in teamwork settings with colleagues and clients
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail with an ability to work under pressure
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed (frequency is dependent on the office location and project assignments)
- The team has the peak period during month ends, where the individuals must work under strict timelines.
