Job description / Role
An exciting and rapidly growing start up based in Riyadh are recruiting for Finance Manager. You will act as the sole member of the Finance fuction and bridge the gap until the wider team are hired.

The client is an PIF backed educational authority with extensive growth plans across the Riyadh and the kingdom.
Description
Key Responsibilities
* Establish and manage the finance and accounting function from scratch including the development implementation of necessary financial policies, processes, systems and controls to ensure compliance with regulations and Standing Delegation of Authority.
* Manage and oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.
* Ensure that all accounts payable transactions and payments are properly recorded, filed and reported in a timely manner.
This includes all supplier and partner invoices.
* Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
* The Finance Manager will also work closely with HR to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing and processing employee expense payments and petty cash.
* Manage and maintain the general ledger, including reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
* Develop and maintain a system to manage and track actuals vs budget on a weekly and monthly basis
* Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
* Provide financial analysis and support to the management team to assist in decision making.
* Manage and oversee budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including banks, investors, and external auditors.
* Manage cash flow and oversee the treasury function.
* Ensure that all tax, VAT and Zakat filings are accurate and submitted on time.
* Manage the finance and accounting team, including hiring, training, and development of staff, as well as setting performance metrics and goals
* Implement ERP and financial systems and oversee system upgrades when required

Requirements
The successful candidate will
* Ideally have experience in a start up / unstructured environment
* 5/6 years minimum experience.
* Have significant experience within Planning, Accounting and Budgeting.
