Fit-out Estimator

Job description / Role

• Estimation of large prestigious high-end interior fit-out projects.
• Preparation of bills of quantities.
• Adjudication of contractor’s claims (measurement).
• Estimating and cost control.
• Interpreting specifications, price tenders, and preparation of contract documents.
• Interpreting and checking drawings, tender documents, quantities and estimates.
• Supervising surveys and interpreting third-party surveys.
• Verifying sub-contractor's claims and verification of Quantity Surveyor’s calculations progress of work at the site and material on-site / off-site.
• Maintaining supplier/subcontractor database and consistently seeking new companies to pre-qualify for inclusion on the tender list.
• Develops bid cost estimates for the specified deadlines for submission
• Manages the bid calendar to ensure that the company is complying with its commitments.
• Reviews and comments on technical and commercial specifications.
• Prepares material takeoffs to allow the Purchasing Dept to obtain market pricing
• Coordinates with the Production department.
• Helps establish and periodically review the Estimating Policies and Procedures of the Company.

Salary:
SAR 15,000 to 20,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• Graduation/Education Background: Electrical or Mechanical Degree
• Specific Knowledge/Skills: Electrical Estimator or Mechanical Estimator
• Experience: 10 to 15 years minimum in "Electrical" or "Mechanical" Fit-out contracts, Decor, Interior Design and Joinery in the Gulf region
