Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a multinational Project Management and Engineering firm which operates in the railway sector. They are currently involved with the management of the Design of a new metro project in Saudi Arabia.

Duties & responsibilities:
• Responsible for the Claims Planning and the reporting of the delay impact analysis to management.
• The individual will report to the CJV Contracts team.
• The role will not involve managing a team of planners.
• The individual will need to be able to work independently and proactively to defined timescales in a timely manner.
• The individual will maintain, integrate and update the Project Primavera P6 Windows Analysis model to determine the cumulative delays.
• All delays in the project plan will be identified and validated through document research and liason with other team members and then added to the Windows Analysis model to determine their overall delay impact.
• The individual will be responsible for reviewing and validating all planning fragnets proposed for addition to the Windows Analysis model.
• All delays will be identified as excusable and non-excusable and their impact on the programme will be assessed.
• The delay impact assessments will be documented and reported in a clear and concise manner that can be reported on a periodic basis to management and be incorporated with and support both the various Extension of Time Requests and/or Claim documents.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in a construction discipline, engineering or quantity surveying (law modules as part of the qualification an advantage).
• Experience in civils construction, site based. Minimum 10 years experience in planning on construction projects preferably as a senior planner. Experience in rail or metro systems an advantage. International experience an advantage (esp. Middle East). At least 5 years experience as a Claims Planner (preferably with a Contractor).
• Good English written and spoken.

Note: Willing to work 60 hours per week (10 hours/day, 6 days/week).
