Fund Accountant

Job description / Role

Gulf Connexions has partnered with an asset management firm based in the heart of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This well respected and professional firm is currently looking for a Fund Accountant to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is looking for personal growth and development. The primary objective of the Fund Accountant role is the production and validation of financial information to a high degree of accuracy on a timely basis.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily and monthly activities related to funds and investments.
• Maintain the general ledger and various sub-ledgers
• Responsible for monthly close of books and records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Reconcile cash operations.
• Preparation of financial data analysis
• Assist with Audits and VAT.
• Implementation of fund structures on accounting system.
• Interact directly with senior management.

Requirements

Requirements:

• University Degree in Accounting or Finance with 2-4 years of fund accounting experience in reviewing and preparing general ledgers and financial statements.
• CPA/CFA/CIMA qualified is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of International GAAP/IFRS Accounting Principles.
• Exceptional analytical skills and aptitude for numbers and accuracy.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Demonstrated Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously but also within a team environment.
