General Manager

Job description / Role

We are looking to recruit a GM for a equipment leasing business in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The GM will be responsible to lead and direct the overall operations of the business in a way that ensures increased profitability, efficiency and market share as per the approved business strategy.

* Set the strategy and strategic direction for the Company in order to meet its objectives
* Direct the market research activities to identify market needs, new markets, and business opportunities in order to determine potentials and suitable market penetration plans
* Set the Company's annual budget and monitor its financial performance and anticipated costs/revenues in order to identify areas of improvement and determine the necessary action plan
* Oversee the overall operations of the company to ensure meeting its strategic objectives
* Conduct periodic operational reviews in order to identify potential operational risks and challenges and ensure they are mitigated in a timely manner
* Manage existing and new contracts in order to maintain / increase profitability and market share
* Review, amend and approve all outgoing business proposals in order to ensure profitability while adhering to relevant policies and control
* Manage relationships with different vendors and suppliers to ensure the provision of required services in a timely manner while protecting the company's best interest
* Oversee employees training and development programs to ensure alignment with the Company's needs and requirements
* Lead the recruitment process for senior and critical positions to ensure selecting the right candidates for the right position

Requirements

* 10 - 12 years of relevant experience including at least 3 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities
* Bachelor's degree in an Engineering related discipline with preferably an
* MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification from a recognized business school
* Must have experience in equipment leasing business, power or energy companies
* Ideally the role is for a Saudi national , due to the government Saudization program
* Candidates must be based in Saudi Arabia with transferable iqama.
