Group Assistant Payroll Manager

As Group Assistant Payroll Manager, your responsibilities will include collecting and reviewing employee information and working hours, calculating wages, preparing and processing employee payments, and maintaining accurate payroll records.

Hotel Overview: Makkah Clock Royal Tower, A Fairmont Hotel, is located only a few steps away from the Masjid Al Haram and the Holy Ka'aba. This 76-story hotel, one of the world's tallest, is the focal point of the Abraj Al Bait Complex, part of the King Abdul Aziz Endowment Project, is the iconic symbol of hospitality in the Holy City. The hotel authentic hospitality is seen throughout 1618 guest rooms and suites are thoughtfully and elegantly appointed-with extravagant amenities and five-star services that allow for peaceful reflection and repose .

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to Group Payroll Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Fairmont standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance of grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.
- Comply at all times with Fairmont standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Preparation of all aspects of the weekly payroll.
- Collecting timesheet data and payroll information.
- Ensure that vacation entitlements and accruals are accurately tracked and are calculated in accordance with our Fairmont/Raffles/Swissotel Hotels vacation policy.
- Entering data into payroll and administrative databases and software programs.
- Be familiar with all Fairmont/Raffles/Swissotel Hotels Standard related financial controls and operational procedures.
- Be familiar with all Accor financial policies, procedures and controls.
- Calculating wages, benefits, commissions, etc.
- Preparing and processing paychecks and cash deposits.
- Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
- Preparing and distributing income statements.
- Responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns.
- Performing account balance and payroll reconciliations.
- Preparing financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes.
- Preparing periodic payroll reports for review by management.

Requirements

Qualifications:

- A high school diploma.
- A degree in accounting, business, or a related field may be preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience working in payroll or a similar role.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices.
- Experience working with accounting and payroll software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High numerical aptitude.
- Detail-oriented.
