Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Supply Chain:
- Direct and monitor activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, planning with the aim to reduce TCO as well as manage supply and quality risks
- Develop and/or enhance procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance.
- Design and implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.
- Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.
- Evaluate and select information or other technology solutions to improve tracking and reporting of material and product distribution.
- Define, monitor and improve performance metrics for the supply chain - i.e. product cost, quality, OTIF, inventory days, etc.
- Determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste and optimize customer service.

Manufacturing:
- Create manufacturing strategic plan and goals, short and long term direction and performance expectations, communicating them to employees, customers and suppliers.
- Establish production budgets; monitor the cost and effectiveness of production activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and achieve volume, quality, and manufacturing standards.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend investments in technology, capital, equipment, systems, or other assets that will enhance the organization’s manufacturing capabilities.
- Select, and manage ongoing relationships with, external suppliers (for example, equipment vendors, maintenance contractors), to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
- Develop a manufacturing plan and establish procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure products conform to established standards.
- Achieve optimum employee levels with least amount of overhead and raw material costs to meet annual budgetary plan. Establish communication with various levels of the manufacturing organization.
- Provide input for feasibilities of projects, ideas, etc.
- Implement Kaizen system, driving small improvements from all manufacturing employees.
- Prioritize the needs of the customer and key stakeholders and process to listen to internal and external "voice of customer".
- Design and recommend manufacturing policies for improving the company's competitive position and profitability.
- Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of managers to ensure that the manufacturing activities meet established targets and standards.

People Management:
- Conducting interviews for several departmental positions.
- Identifying training needs in collaboration with team managers and making necessary arrangements. Create a culture of problem solving, collaborative working and respect for people.
- Resolve people issues to ensure team work.

Requirements

- Master's Degree in Business/Supply Chain/Engineering with at least 10-15 years experience including 5 years in middle management role.
- Engineering and technology knowledge of the practical experience of engineering science. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Knowledge of inventory management procedures.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for moving goods by air, rail, sea, or road, including the relative costs and benefits.
- Knowledge of commercial and legal aspects pertaining to supply chain
