Job description / Role
My Client a local Saudi Bank is seeking a well qualified and grounded Head of Middle Office with no less than 6- 8 years solid experience held within Middle Office.
You should be a highly motivated self starter with proven team management ability and capable of handling all Middle Office departmental credit risk matters relating to all types of loans booked in the branch.
You should also be well versed in supporting Front Office teams with relation to loan documentation, distribution (syndication, securitisation) and any related administrative tasks.
Timely Decision making initiative and the ability to build effective and professional relationships with management and key members of other departments will be the key to your success in the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform limit excess monitoring, earmarking, availability and credit referral for Commodities Finance, Trade Services, International Financial Institutions, Leveraged Loan, Shipping, Structured & Project Finance transactions
Prepare and review draft documentation, facility letter and ensure full compliance with credit approval and banks credit policy
Perform financial covenant monitoring, checking of financial ratio, following up of annual report, insurance and other conditions subsequent
Perform new account opening, account maintenance, security perfection and monitor the completeness of credit documents
Liaise with front office, risk and legal counsel on non-performing transaction (NPLs).
Handle ad-hoc request and audit matters as required by the needs of the bank
Reviewing all applications of the Banks clients pertaining to their trade transactions, guarantees, bid/performance bonds and short term advances
Final review of the documentation especially Conditions Precedent and borrower/sponsor structure checks
Coordination and monitoring of transaction funding and loan transfers / drawdowns with the Back Office
- Assisting in establishing the prudent market risk management policies, pricing mode and comprehensive market risk framework.
- Assisting in setting and implementing the Bank's centralized market risk measurements and monitoring systems.
- Ensures the Treasury adherence to the approved treasury limits.
- Assesses and measures the market risk qualitatively and quantitatively on a recurring basis and provides stress tests that show a potential market risk exposures.
Requirements
Key Candidate Profile Requirements:
Minimum 6 - 8 years solid and demonstrable Middle Office experience within a recognized
Solid knowledge of Middle Office Structured Finance, Project Finance or Risk related requirements and excellent experience in carrying out the responsibilities listed above.
Recognised Finance related degree or diploma
Excellent interpersonal skills, planning and organization, proven self-management, communication, Team work, time responsiveness, and knowledge of regulatory aspects.
Communication is necessary at all levels with clients across all business lines, most departments in Head Office and the branch in general
An excellent track record in getting tasks done in a timely manner in conjunction with other departments, Front and Back office.
