Job description / Role
Our client a leading Financial Services/ Wealth Management organisation with offices based across the globe is seeking a Head of Operations. This is a new opening and will require the indivdual to travel for the first six month across the GCC while the new operation is being set up.
The candidate will be responsible for all administrative and operational functions of the Riyadh Saudi Arabia Office.
Candidate will ensure that the KSA office is operated in accordance with local regulations and TFO policies and procedures.
The Head of Operations will be the designated Compliance Officer for the CMA.
The selected candidate will be expected to undergo an orientation period of at least six months at the
Head Office and will actively assist in starting up the Saudi Arabia office in Riyadh.
The role has many facets including, compliance, HR, operations and deputising for the CEO.
* Supports the CEO in his operational oversight and execution of the KSA strategic plan.
* Act as the main point of contact with external vendors including regulator, lawyer, external auditors and service providers.
* Monitor and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, the Capital Market
* Authority ("CMA") & AML/CFT rules, and other applicable Saudi regulations such as Commercial law and Labor law.
* Actively work with Group HR function in respect of KSA employees including recruitment, training, review, personal development (if appropriate), performance monitoring and team building.
Requirements
* 10 to 15 years of management experience gained through managing asubsidiary or a branch.
* Must have experience with and knowledge of rules and regulations governing the investment firms in Saudi Arabia.
* Must have completed CME 1 & 2 (CMA qualifications) or be prepared to pursue the required CMA examination.
* Must be fluent and well versed in both English & Arabic and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
