Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC, through a wholly owned affiliate (Arabian Chevron Phillips Petrochemical Company Ltd.), has two 50/50 joint venture projects with the Saudi Industrial Investment Group (SIIG) in the Eastern Province industrial city of Al-Jubail - Saudi Chevron Phillips Company (SCP) and Jubail Chevron Phillips Company (JCP), collectively known as S-Chem. As the first private sector investment in the Kingdom's petrochemical industry, SCP began operations in December 1999 and produces benzene, cyclohexane, and gasoline blendstock. JCP began operations in 2008 and produces benzene, ethylbenzene, styrene, and propylene. Saudi Polymers Company (SPCo) is a limited liability company incorporated in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that is owned 35 percent by Arabian Chevron Phillips Petrochemical Company Limited (ACP), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC, and 65 perfect by National Petrochemical Company (Petrochem), a joint-stock company incorporated in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This position will be located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and will provide support to the joint venture projects.

Responsibilities:
Administration of Corporate and Expatriate policies for CPChem expatriates located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Duties will include policy administration as well as gathering and interpreting market intelligence to ensure Chevron Phillips Chemical Company's policies are competitive. Will work as part of a global team to revise or develop and interpret policies as needed.
Assists with candidate recruitment. This includes administering job postings, selection criteria development, interviewing, selection and transfer offers.
Review, Coordinate and monitor all aspects of the HR function for CPChem Staff including but not limited to employee relations matters, budgeting, performance management, benefits, etc., for the 3 JV's in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Responsible for administering CPChem salary programs and on-going salary administration activities. May serve as a resource to our joint venture company when gaining CPChem approvals for joint venture initiatives and programs for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Serves as the primary CPChem contact with expatriates and their dependents in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This would include the full range of responsibilities from housing to schooling policies, etc.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources management or related field required. Master's Degree or MCIPD/FCIPD preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of applicable HR experience with at least 3 years of expatriate administration in a non-US location.
Must be capable of contributing at both strategic and operational level.
Has strong consultative skills.
Excellent communication skills and must speak English fluently. Ability to speak Arabic is a plus.
Thorough understanding and experience of managing risk in an HR/business context coupled with an intercultural understanding and an ability to manage cultural differences and actively promote diversity.
Possess strong influencing and political awareness.
Models stakeholder management, excellent teamwork and has the ability to establish sound alliances and build long-term partnership with the business leadership and human resources colleagues and management.
Sound knowledge of salary compensation and benefit concepts.
Travel to the CPChem Headquarters office in The Woodlands, Texas, when required.
Successful candidate will be in the Corporate Headquarters for a time sufficient enough to become familiar with the Company policies, practices, and processes. Once the orientation assignment is complete, the employee will relocate to Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
