Employment: Full Time

A leading Electromechanical EPC Company in KSA is looking for a qualified and experienced HSE MANAGER to join their team in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be managing and monitoring all health, safety & environment risks and hazards at company's construction projects, as well as advising workers and employees on health, safety and environment practices to ensure harm is reduced/prevented to company's and client’s workers and property.

Responsibilities:

• Develops the Health, Safety & Environment function’s strategic goals, business plans, budgets and resources.
• Develops adequate policies and processes for the Health, Safety & Environment function to maintain efficient operational excellence.
• Communicates the Health, Safety & Environment function’s guidelines and processes to employees and ensures clear understanding of these guidelines.
• Works towards achieving Health, Safety & Environment function’s strategic goals and reports progress to executive management.
• Develops company’s health, safety and environment framework, policies and processes, HSE management system, to meet regulatory requirements such as provision of emergency healthcare, first aid clinics, safety and health information and workplace safety.
• Researches applicable occupational health, safety and environmental standards and all relevant laws, and communicates to company departments for further consideration and implementation, as applicable.
• Evaluates the degree of implementation of HSE management system and HSE plans and provides timely feedback on findings and improvement requirements.
• Ensures effective investigation analysis and reporting of all HSE incidents.
• Assesses the effectiveness of projects job safety controls or other methods in controlling high safety activities.
• Introduces and maintain HSE initiatives and controls throughout the projects and provides expert advice on the HSE requirements being set into various contracts.
• Evaluates the degree to which the projects set-up, contribute to safe project execution.
• Conducts awareness sessions to maximize awareness on health, safety and environment activities across company projects and property.
• Conducts performance evaluation processes for the Health, Safety & Environment function’s employees to cover objective settings, progress performance meetings and performance

Requirements

• University Degree of Engineering in relevant field. Masters in a relevant field is advantageous.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Construction and Engineering (Power/Energy/Oil & Gas/ Water) in the field of project health, safety and environment (HSE).
• Professional Certification in HSE. (OSHA, NEBOSH, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001)
• Able to provide detailed audit reports, with relevant required preventive and corrective measures.
• Strong personality and leadership skills.
• Fluent communication skills in English and Arabic
