Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Manage and ensure the execution of annual work plan of the survey division.
• Provide chief surveyor with input for maintenance strategy for all survey equipment and instruments.
• Ensure defined policies and procedures for effective, efficient and professional functioning of the survey division are observed.
• Consolidate and provide weekly reports of accurate information to chief surveyor and to works manager on work done/ performance, accidents/ delays, status of assets and work forecasts aligned with project requirements.
• Ensure that surveyors comply with the QA/ HSE requirements and procedures onsite and respond to QHSE reports and ensure addressed issues will be solved by providing the surveyors with guidelines.
• Assess and approve requests for survey instruments/ equipment.
• Provide leadership and guidance towards the project surveyors.
• Efficiently and constructively cooperate with the surveyors and with the works manager, project manager and the contracts division.
• Provide the chief surveyor with input to ensure optimal staffing for effective and efficient functioning of the survey division following human resource procedures and processes.
• Ensure and facilitate best development opportunities of survey division staff.
• Coordinate and execute the yearly performance evaluation process for the project surveyors and ensure that the yearly performance evaluation process for the subordinates is executed.
