Employment: Full Time

Our client, offering bespoke interior design services for luxury commercial and residential projects, is looking for an Interior Design, Art & Creative Director to join their Riyadh based team and be responsible for the company’s overall Interior Design services The responsibilities of the position include interpreting client briefs and turning them into creative solutions, delivering high-quality products, overseeing design teams, and troubleshooting design problems.

The ideal candidate will be able to express their ideas clearly, provide direction and leadership to team members, execute company objectives, and partner with cross-functional departments on strategy and execution.

About the Role

• Oversees the design process and contribute to the hiring of teams (e.g Interior designers, draftsmen, graphic artists)
• Maintaining design standards throughout the organization.
• Works closely with all team members and executives to effectively communicate the design philosophy for the company’s products and services.
• Adhere to tight deadlines and manage budget constraints to deliver a great services and product and client’s experience.
• Conceive and implement concepts, guidelines and strategies in various creative projects and oversee them to completion.
• Lead brainstorming/creative sessions to generate ideas.
• Write and design unique and well-crafted copy that meet clients’ needs.
• Revise content and presentations, approve/reject ideas, provide feedback to the team.
• Supervise all interior design services from design to implementation.
• Monitors material quality and project finishing
• Site visits to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
• Prepare and complete action plans of interior design projects.
• Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
• Complete audits concerning material and quantity.
• Identify trends in the market concerning the interior design.
• Contribute to the implantation of the company’s growth strategy.
• Monitor the implementation of department’s KPIs.
• Ensure adequate management of project scheduling.
• Work with project managers and associate creative directors to ensure that schedules are accurate and realistic and deadlines met.
• Stay on top of the latest standards, processes, and trends in the Interior design field.
• Hiring, developing, and inspiring the design team, or selecting a design team from existing company employees.
• Meeting with clients to discuss their needs and the design elements they want.
• Interpreting abstract business concepts and client briefs and turning them into creative ideas.
• Developing strategic design plans with projected timelines and budgets.
• Overseeing the design projects, from start to finish, and monitoring the staff members to ensure they adhere to the budget and timeline constraints.
• Reviewing feedback from clients and making alterations according to the clients' needs.
• Analyzing market research to create more effective designs.
• Develop and implement design concepts and creative strategies to generate new revenue
• Develop and implement creative strategies for promotional campaigns and events
• May develop and implement creative marketing strategies for promotional campaigns and events.
• Maintain effective internal communications with employees, as well as customers and vendors.
• Conduct design reviews, assist in preparing specifications, RFPs, and proposals, and review contract documents
• Assist in project scheduling
• Assist in coordinating project milestones and final inspections
• Conduct post-occupancy evaluations
• Deliver Interior architectural drawings.
• Establish and enforce quality and standards.
• Review and approve Shop Drawings, Material Approvals / RFIs for Interior Architectural work.
• Assist Planning, Procurement and Material teams; and liaise with site team on priorities/problems on the day-to-day activities.

Salary:
SAR 65,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or relevant subject.
• Master’s degree in Interior Design or relevant subject is an advantage.
• With a total of at least 10 years’ experience in companies specialized in high end (luxury) residential and commercial projects, especially hospitality
• At least 4 years in a leading position as Director of Interior Design
