Junior HSE Officer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Officer who is a Saudi national to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Junior HSE Officer will be responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of HSE policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of work areas to identify and mitigate potential health and safety hazards.
- Support in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Assist in delivering HSE training programs and workshops to employees on topics such as emergency response, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) usage, and hazard communication.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness throughout the organization.
- Participate in the preparation and submission of HSE reports and documentation as required by regulatory agencies and company management.
- Stay updated on HSE regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure the organization remains compliant and proactive in risk management.

Salary:
SAR 6,600 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Prior experience in HSE or related field will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with HSE regulations and requirements in Saudi Arabia is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills to identify and assess potential hazards and risks.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and willingness to learn and adapt to changing HSE requirements.
- Fluency in English languages is required, both written and spoken.
