Job Purpose
Alfanar Projects is one of the biggest infrastructure development and engineering construction companies in the Middle East. This is an exceptional opportunity to join the in-house legal team of Alfanar Projects to support the Legal team EPC division.
Key Accountability Areas
- Draft, review, negotiate and advise on EPC and other contracts.
- Legal examination of EPC contracts, approval of draft EPC contracts, preparation of conclusions on the compliance of draft EPC contracts with the applicable law.
- Assessment of legal risks for the EPC contracts and other agreements
- Provision of legal memos, conclusions and consultations in respect to the execution, variation and termination of the EPC and other contracts.
- Control over the compliance with the procedures of EPC contract preparation and approval by responsible persons and business units.
- Development and provision of assistance to the business units in the development of local regulatory documents governing the issues of commercial and business activities of the Company within the candidate competency
- Provision of legal memos, conclusions and consultations in respect to the execution, variation and termination of EPC and other contracts.
- Participating in the evaluation of proposals and comments received from bidders together with the Operator business units.
- Provide legal support to the sales and business organizations through due diligence report, drafting amendments, terminations, settlements and dispute resolution, renewals, service agreements, Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), Consortium Agreements and other types of agreements as required. Negotiate complex project or service contracts developing strategy, ploys and the tactics required to protect and support Company's reputation for fair business practices and ethics.
- Anticipate contracting issues and initiate appropriate actions to ensure contractual documents are processed efficiently and in accordance with business unit practices and company policies and guidelines.
- Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial agreements including EPC contracts as well as terms and conditions, as well as involvement in tender and contract preparation.
Role Accountability
- Training of sub-ordinates and forming a team to get the work effectively.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
- Delegate sub-ordinates in each respective assignment.
- Ensures fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale, motivation of subordinates.
- Perform the planned activities to meet the operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
- Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
Requirements
- Provide a periodic report formatted by detailing the deviation and execution of planned tasks.
- Resolve any related problems arise and escalate any complex operational issues.
- Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.
- Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seeking automations opportunities as much as possible.
- Comply to related policy and procedures and work instructions.
- Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.
Academic Qualification
- Bachelor Degree in Legal Assisting
