Junior Sous Chef

Job description / Role

We are seeking a talented Junior Sous Chef to join our F&B team in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will assist the head chef in managing the kitchen, ensuring the quality and presentation of dishes, and maintaining high standards of food preparation and hygiene. Responsibilities:
- Assist the head chef in creating and updating menus based on seasonal availability and customer preferences
- Supervise and participate in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Assist in managing kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, as well as kitchen maintenance and cleanliness
- Contribute to maintaining and improving food quality, consistency, and presentation

Salary:
SAR 7,000 to 11,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior line cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen management, and food safety standards
- Ability to work effectively in a team, lead by example, and communicate clearly with kitchen staff
- Passion for creating and presenting high-quality dishes, and willingness to learn and adapt to new culinary trends
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus
