Job description / Role

Kitchen Helper/Stewards - Fauchon Jeddah, KSA

- Responsible for completing one’s own workload in a timely and professional manner and in line with Food Hygiene Standards and Health and Safety regulations.
- Set-up, operate, and/or shut-down all dish room equipment as per procedures.
- Scrape dishes of leftover food and debris, and sort dishes by size and type, preparing them for cleaning.
- Load dishwasher, ensuring they are clean and sanitized properly.
- Clean pots, pans, and large utensils using the right chemicals as per regulations and direction. Replenish clean dishes on the cooking line and into refrigerators, ready for service.
- Replenish clean pans, utensils, tools and storage equipment in cooking and preparation areas. Replenish and maintain all chemicals away from food and according to manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Ensure continuous housekeeping of kitchen and restroom areas.
- Carry out floor maintenance (sweeping and mopping) ensuring that all Health and Safety rules are followed.
- Clean shelves, kitchen fixtures, walls, vents and related kitchen equipment.
- Restock toilet articles (toilet paper, liners, etc.)
- Remove rubbish/waste and soiled linens to the back dock/dumpster area.
- Perform shift change and/or closing duties and other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
- Periodically, attend additional training sessions and workshops.
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene.
- Responsible for personal hygiene and appearance including looking neat and well-groomed, wearing company approved attire at all times.
- Ensure every guest is treated in accordance with The Brand’s policy
- In every contact with guests, be warm and energetic, friendly, courteous and polite.
- Actively keep up to date with current practices and procedures.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with Brand policies, procedures and guidelines. Comply with all company sanitation procedures and proper food handling techniques.
- Raise requisition to the team leader for stock of cleaning supplies (chemicals, garbage bags, equipment etc.)

Requirements

- At least a High school graduate with 1 year related experience or higher (college-level desired).
- Has similar experienced on similar industry
- Can communicate in English, French, Arabic is an advantage.
- Must be able to work on shift-hour schedule.
