Laundry Manager (Makkah, KSA)

A prestigious 5 star hotel situated in Makkah is currently searching for a highly experienced Laundry Manager.

The Laundry Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and developing of the overall operation of the laundry department in accordance with hotel standards and guidelines along with assuring the highest degree of quality guest care is maintained at all times. Responsible for staffing, scheduling, training and developing hourly staff.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Implement policies, procedures, rules and regulations as per hotel standards
• Responsible for the proper handling of guest and house laundry and establish standards and procedures to ascertain quality of work performed
• Develop and implement standard operating procedure, as well as production and quality standard
• Follow up with engineering department on preventive maintenance and repair orders
• Prepare departmental budget and goals programmed
• Provide training to laundry employees and take corrective action when performance is not satisfactory
• Ensure that laundry employees are knowledgeable about hotel’s services and facilities
• Monitor employee attendance and manpower planning to meet activities in the hotel and in order to maintain cost effectiveness
• Resolve all guest complaints and recommend improvement in operation in order to develop better service standards

Requirements

Requirements:
• Be willing to be based in Makkah, therefore, must be Muslim
• Minimum 5 years as a laundry manager, based in Jeddah or Makkah (preferably Makkah)
• Must have strong experience in laundry operations and organisation
• Experience of both routine hotel laundry items such as bedding and towels, etc and hotel guest personal laundry
• Must have experience in increasing the efficiency of the laundry department
• Good Customer Service
• Understand, and resolve concerns from guests
• Strong Organisational Skills
• Problem Solving Skills for both customers and staff members
• Good Leadership to help oversee and motivate staff members
