Lead Flow Assurance Engineer

Overall Summary

Lead Flow Assurance Engineer with proven experience in the design of pipelines, utilities and offsite piping system /pipeline from conceptual stage through detailed design of medium to large size projects. Thorough knowledge of projects/process & flow assurance engineering practices, economics principles, calculation methods, international standards, codes, specifications, and procedures. Minimum 15 years' experience in Oil & Gas, Hydrocarbons, and/or Infrastructure industries. Excellent communication skills required.

Responsibilities:

Has demonstrated experience in pipeline flow assurance and hydraulic calculations. Has been working as a pipeline simulation engineer. Knowledge of project engineering practices, international codes, standards, procedures, and specifications.
- Good Experience in steady-state and transient hydraulic analyses using industry standard software like SPS, PIPENET and PIPESIM.
- Have the capability to use other Process tools like HYSYS, PVTSIM, and Multiflash.
- Review and approve process deliverables (PFDs, P&IDs, Design Basis, Process Narratives, Process Calculations, Equipment Specification documents, etc)
- Experience in performing surge analysis on liquid lines using simulation tools like SPS.
- Have full capability to design surge protection systems.
- Have full capability to of simulating gas networks.
- Must be able to demonstrate experience in single and multiphase pipelines hydraulic simulation.
- Familiar with applicable regulations, codes and standards.
- GCC experience particularly Saudi Aramco experience will be preferred.
- Work independently and create a positive work environment.
- Experience with firewater demand calculations and equipment requirements, industrial drainage design and equipment, familiarity with the associated Saudi Aramco standards and NFPA requirements are desirable.
- Provide technical leadership to ensure that applicable procedures and standards (client, KBR and international) are correctly applied.
- Must be proficient in English, oral and written.
- Excellent technical presentation skills required.

Requirements

Qualifications & Years Of Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering
- 15 years' experience in process and flow assurance.
- Candidates must hold an Engineering Degree Qualification or equivalent from a government recognized institution.
