Job Purpose
Performs and directs major petroleum engineering projects and technical studies requiring classical or advanced analyses and solutions. Leads, designs and participates in mapping out data acquisition programs and analyzes acquired data for petroleum engineering purposes. Makes technical recommendations to help in formulating impacts on business proposals. Coaches and mentors junior engineers.

Responsibilities

DUTY1 / effort % (025)
Leads and oversees the work of a group of engineers. Under this capacity, coordinates and ensures all related activities and tasks are efficiently completed.

DUTY2 / effort % (020)
Initiates and coordinates major petroleum engineering technical studies and activities,
and determines engineering methods and procedures to be used. Prepares reports on completed studies with recommendations and presentations to Management for feedback and endorsement.

DUTY3 / effort % (015)
Leads formulation of BP/OP plans for respective area.

DUTY4 / effort % (010)
Represents the organization in presentations to Executive Management in regard to new projects, new technologies or field development strategies.

DUTY5 / effort % (010)
Initiates proposals for projects to be conducted by service providers (vendors) and acts as a project's liaison. In addition, follows up on the projects' progression and ensures deliverables and objectives are fully met.

DUTY6 / effort % (010)
Oversees the development of annual/quarterly management reports.

DUTY7 / effort % (010)
Assists in developing IDPs including training and development plans for personnel in the group.
