Job description / Role
About Fire Protection Department:
The Fire Protection Department provides firefighting and emergency response services to all Petro Rabigh organizations. The Fire Protection Department is seeking experienced professionals to provide advanced fire testing, inspection and engineering services. Also, to ensure all fire testing and inspection activities are done per the international standards or/and manufacturer recommendations in order to achieve Petro Rabigh safety objectives. This role functions independently and/or in team assignments and reports administratively to the Fire Training & Inspection Section Head.
Qualification - Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Fire Protection, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Preferable to hold NFPA certificates (e.g. certified fire protection specialist, National Fire Alarm Code Certification Seminar ... etc.)
- Enrolled in all types of fire protection systems Testing & Inspection courses.
- Minimum of 8 year experience in the fire protection equipment inspection and testing in oil, gas and petrochemical industries.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in supervisory positions
Who we're looking for:
- Possess in-depth knowledge of fire protection equipment testing and inspection techniques applicable to the oil/gas or related industries.
- Must have knowledge fire protection engineering design practices applicable to the oil and gas industries.
- Knowledgeable of industrial fire & safety standards and their application to oil & petrochemical plants.
- Lead/participate in fire consultation, Interpretation of international codes and standards on fire prevention.
- Fluent in English. This is mandatory requirement.
- Strong inter-relationship/ communication skills.

Description - Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop the fire protection equipment testing and inspection schedule.
- Manage and monitor a team of fire protection testing and inspection technicians and the testing and inspection schedule implementation.
- Submit a regular reports regarding fire protection equipment testing and inspection activities and findings.
- File all the findings through SAP CSMS application.
- Follow-up the closing of open items with the proponents.
- Assist proponents in all issues related to fire protection field.
- Participate in Safety Audits.
- Review the engineering design packages and submittal for fire protection equipment.
- Participate in new fire protection equipment commissioning activities.
- Prepare training materials for department staff & mentor junior engineers.
