Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

As Legal Director, you will be responsible for all legal and regulatory matters, lead negotiations for acquisitions and licensing, handle settlements to prevent litigation, and represent the company in legal proceedings. Monitor litigation's, manage external legal counsel, coordinate outsourced activities, and oversee the drafting of legal documents. Your role is crucial in managing all legal aspects of partnerships, conducting pre-contract risk assessments.

Description

* Provide legal input and consultations to the company's management, Board, and committees or other departments on all legal and regulatory matters when required.
* Conduct an assessment of the regulatory environment and advise the CEO and departments on the possible impact on strategy and business plans.
* Handle the negotiation and settlement processes on behalf of the entity to avoid litigation, reach consensus, and/or achieve settlement, ensuring that all legal issues are resolved in a timely manner with minimal impact on the organisation's reputation.
* Provide legal input on the development of new businesses (e.g., acquisitions, licensing of new entities, share issuance) and on large and complex projects and construction contracts. Negotiate with potential partners and key industry players to effectively represent the company's interests from a legal perspective and resolve complex issues and matters.
* Manage all legal aspects of partnerships from pre-contract risk assessment to execution to ensure legal implications are assessed, managed, and mitigated, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the protection of corporate interests.
* Manage the development and review of agreements, contracts, and other relevant documentation to ensure the protection of the company's interests at large and alignment with business objectives and requirements.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Law or any other related field
* MBA qualification are preferred.
* Admitted to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction
* 10+ years of progressive legal experience, including at least 3 years in a senior management role within a multinational corporation or a leading law firm.
* In-depth knowledge of development/real estate law, corporate, and commercial
* Bilingual - Arabic/English; proficiency in other languages is an advantage
