Title:
Logistics Co-Ordinator
Position open to Saudi Nationals only
The project is a major infrastructure programme for a mixed-use development aiming to be a global landmark recognized for its unique vision and position as an authentic destination in Riyadh. The community will be a distinct, self-sustaining hub for Riyadh offering several iconic assets. KBR will provide Project Management Consultancy services in project planning, controls, design and engineering management, and implementation of the development and early works packages.
THE ROLE
Reports directly to the Logistics Director and supporting The Construction Director, Senior Logistics Manager and Security Manager, working on a broad range of logistics, security, and construction activities. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Update and develop the Site Logistics Plan with laydown areas, haul roads, entrance gates, producing time slices and other site layout information.
- Manages the permit process recognising current KSA legislation, standards and codes of practice where appropriate.
- Review Contractors plans to assess implications on the overall DG II Site Logistics plans.
- Supports the Logistics Director on assessing Laydown Area Access Requests (LAAR) from Contractors and liaises directly with client LAARs teams.
- Supports the Construction Director in managing the demolition and hoardings RFPs and their plans.
- Provides technical advice to CAD operator for production of plans and drawings.
- Supports the Logistics, Construction and Security team in the preparation of presentations and reports to the Client.
- Support Site Office Manager -interface with all occupants including the client and other PMCs regarding Facilities Management of the building.
- As part of the Logistics and Construction Team ensures coordination and implementation of logistics works is in line with and supports the overall allocated project deliverables
- Support the Construction Supervision Consultants (CSC) and Contractors to resolve security and logistics issues.
- Development, establishment and execution of standards, policies, procedures and best practices
- Supports the Logistics and Construction Managers monitoring and reporting on the performance of the construction supervisors and the contractors, including on QHS&E requirements.
Requirements
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- A degree in construction or engineering or logistics field or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years overall experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in Middle East
- Knowledge of logistics and construction functions with experience in co-ordination roles
- Experience and skilled in working with Consultants and Contractors
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI
- Good report writing, presentation and communication skills
- Fluency in English language both written and spoken
