Logistics Specialists

Will perform Field and Sustainment Level maintenance support/augmentation to include: Production control, Quality Control, Supply Management, maintenance, and repair of aircraft.

Position requires a skilled Logistics Specialist with the ability to perform multiple formats of logistics supply chain management to include military supply codes and civilian transport. Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot level experience are desired to inspect, repair, remove, replace aeronautical system parts and components. Requires skill in database management, repairable documentation procedures, Support Equipment management, tools and tool room management, HAZMAT procedures, and precision calibration tools tracking.

Shall work in specialized shops associated with fixed base operations Field Level maintenance as well as perform troubleshooting, testing, maintenance repairs and Technical Directive compliance on the H-60 Airframe in Saudi Arabia .

Essential Responsibilities:

The contractor provided Logistics Technician with Supply Specialist abilities to assist the RSNF in the following:

Assists in the planning, coordinating, and integrating the overall logistics / supply support requirements of all organic aviation systems and assets.

Reviews available documents on the acquisition, basing, and operational mission requirements of RSNF systems to determine and recommend the most suitable organic and cost effective logistics/supply support concepts.

Assists in the preparation of an Integrated Logistics/Supply Support Plan, Follow-on Support Plan, and other major program supply acquisition and follow-on planning documents as appropriate.

Participates in meetings and conferences, and reviews on-going and planned logistics and supply programs. Assists in enhancing the RSNF participation in such meetings through recommended agendas, and the review and organization of information and data on logistics/supply issues addressed in the final proposed agenda.

Conducts studies and analysis of logistics/supply related issues, determining the trade- off and cost effectiveness of alternative courses of action to assist in and enhance the decision-making process.

Tracks and analyzes logistics/supply data to determine the effectiveness of various logistics/supply management indicators. Identifies trends and logistics/supply support deficiencies and makes recommendations to improve logistics/supply support-ability as appropriate.

Prepares and reviews logistics/supply operational and contingency plans, as appropriate, and assists in the preparation of logistics support annexes to such plans to ensure the logistics/supply support-ability of operational requirements.

Assesses and makes recommendations, as appropriate, on the feasibility of automation of various aspects of logistics/supply support

Participates in the planning and evaluation of exercises to ensure that logistics/supply support concepts are responsive to operational needs. Make recommendations for improvements where necessary to increase the effectiveness of support required.

Determines the need for, prepares, and conducts individual and group training, as required, on areas of interest within the logistics/supply area.

Assists in the development of various program/contracts/logistics/supply plans as appropriate.

Prepares correspondence on a daily basis on a variety of logistics/supply related issues as may be required.

Evaluates logistics/supply support system requirements and identifies capabilities necessary to support projected operational force and mission requirements. Recommends appropriate management actions for achieving program/contracts/logistics/supply system growth and modernization goals.

Requirements

A minimum of a high school diploma is required.

Requires experience in related military logistics/supply functional disciplines.

A working knowledge of automated logistics/supply support systems is required.

Experience in developing plans, studies and analysis, conducting briefings and training is desired.

Familiarity with the US Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program is desired. Previous experience with US logistics/supply support to foreign nations in an overseas environment is also desired.

Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.

May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, APU, etc.
