Maintenance Manager

Job description / Role

Job Purpose

- To manage the maintenance function of the company’s facilities in UAE and KSA and to make sure that maintenance is done on time, in line with set standards and in the most cost efficient way.

Key Accountabilities

- Maintenance management
- Develop a preventive maintenance calendar for all facilities
- Ensure that maintenance is done on time and in line with set quality standards
- Plan and manage new civil and or building projects
- Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
- Supervise any electric and mechanical equipment
- Continuously looking for better ways and tools to develop our facilities

Contract & Supplier Management

- Source maintenance suppliers for UAE and KSA
- Negotiate supplier contracts to ensure maintenance is done in the most cost efficient way without impacting quality standards.
- Monitor maintenance contract and start the renewal process on time
- Revise supplier contracts based on business need or if better terms can be negotiated

Policies and procedures

- Develop maintenance and safety SOP’s in line with official standards
- Implement new SOP’s and ensure all staff is trained with support from Warehouse Management
- Develop safety standards and measures and ensure compliance across all facilities
- Develop and implement a procurement policy

Budget and Expense control

- Develop the annual maintenance budget in collaboration with the Logistics Managers
- Plan CAPEX and OPEX related to maintenance
- Ensure maintenance is carried out within budget
- Identify opportunities to save costs e.g. through cutting energy, renewable energy plans etc.

Requirements

Qualifications

- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
- Safety and occupational health certificate
- 5 to 7 years maintenance experience, including project management for several maintenance projects
- Experience with refrigeration, ammonium cooling and electric compressor systems
- Experience working in a facility with different temperature storage rooms
- Flexibility to travel is a must (domestic and international)
- Transferrable Iqama required
