Manufacturing Operations Manager

Job description / Role

We’re currently seeking an Manufacturing Operations Manager who is a highly analytical thinker and effective problem solver. The Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for providing project management for key business growth and productivity improvement initiatives. The Manufacturing Operations Manager needs to be results-oriented, organized and committed to flawless execution. In addition, the ideal candidate will have the ability to oversee all aspects of operational performance including quality, safety, regulatory policies, cost requirements, etc. of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Quality, customer service, inventory, finished goods production, material planning, cost control, cost reduction, and vendor relationships at the manufacturing facility
- Work to ensure effective use of resources by coordinating across functional departments
- Management of projects through execution to ensure specifications are established prior to production and all parameters are achieved during the qualification, verification, and commercialization steps
- Ensuring adequate technical representation (Quality, R&D, and Procurement) is present during project phases
- Driving key manufacturing projects
- Development and execution of strategies to improve performance
- Conduct regular process improvement reviews to improve production efficiency and reduce production cost
- Analyze manufacturing best practices within facilities and look to implement these practices into key strategic areas within the organization
- Working with the procurement function to develop manufacturing and capacity strategies that are consistent with the current and future marketing strategies

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Significant and diverse management experience (7+ years of plant operations, engineering, supply chain, distribution, and/or procurement experience preferred
