Marine Tug Boat Engineer

Job description / Role

My client is a leading construction and facilties management company based in Jeddah. They re currently looking to recruit an experienced marine tug boat engineer to plan, coordinate and direct engine room department aboard the ship and supervise subordinate marine engineers and engine room staff. The role will involve the following;

- Takes complete charge of planning supervising the operations, maintenance and repair of all mechanical and electrical machinery and equipment on board ship including propulsion engines, motors, boilers, auxillary and dock machinery, refrigeration, air conditioning and sanitary equipment, directs and supervises personnel of engine-room department;
- Requisitions fuel and engine departments stores'
- Maintains records of operations of engineering department.
- Liaises fully with the Chief Officer in the monitoring of deck and hotel equipment performance plans for the coordinated action of the two Departments in the undertaking of Deck & Hotel maintenance.

Requirements

- Candidates should have the Marine Engineers, first, second or third class certificate and should have a proven background in managing engineering and maintenance activities on board a tug boat.
- Candidates should preferably have Middle East experience.
